10 years ago George Longland disappeared without warning, leaving his sister Jessica, already mourning the loss of their oldest brother in the Great War, to grieve alone. Now it was time for her to consider that George must also be dead and so she gathered about her old friends and relatives in order to bring closure, but there was one more act she needed to undertake.
The invitation came out of the blue for most, since many thought Jessica was still travelling around Europe, however most deemed it important enough to come along.
It was an odd bunch to say the least. There were family members, like Henry Norris, Simone Macknight; family friends like Chester Thomas, Albert Chipsworth, Major Neville Faulks-Worthington and William Winters with his nurse Ailse Haff; old school friends like Count Yulian Feodor Tolstoy and Professor Henry Stanford. Also along was long time friend of Jessica’s, the famous film actress Lilly Dove, with her equally famous film actor husband Conrad Brook. Thomas Wainwright, an American apparently but his accent varied a bit, was along at the request of Emily, cousin of the Longlands’. As for the reason Bob Hiding P.I. was there, no one was quite sure…

But a strange turn of events was to mean that this would prove to be far from a mere gathering of old friends and comrades. It was an adventure that took them through a portal to alternate universes to rescue their friend, George, from a prison where everything appeared normal and the true nature of the wardens was soon revealed… Then, onto a world where it was 1944 and the Nazi’s ruled Britain with an iron fist and a peculiar ally. Where being processed means being turned into a faceless soldier or a living brain in a jar. Only a few brave members of the British Resistance still linger to fight on for hope... And then on to a world where it is 1891 and the whole of England is contagious with an infection unwittingly brought back from the moon by the first British lunar expedition, that turns the victim into a brainless zombies, and only the likes of author H.G.Wells can help… Then finally to a world where all the universes meet at the hub of existence.
