Blackwater 2 continues...
At 3:00pm
We all return to the professor's house.
Jack Rutherford - Also an antiquarian, has recently
returned from Egypt.
George - is an ex war mechanic and he helps the professor
with water and wood supplies.
The Professor speaks some more: It turns out that the box is possessed by some demon that
could control a man. Dr Banks is sceptical.
The professor goes on to say the box should be destroyed
and banished from this realm.
At 3:04pm
Jack and another man stand outside the house.
Me and the Emily's begin to decipher the raider's parchment.
It turns out to read:
"If separated during the raid meet at four by the far
fir near the exit to the land."
Marcus Rath - is interested in religious writings such as
Greek and Latin. He was raised by a priest in Africa.
We go outside into the woods again to try and stifle the
raiders' plans. All we find is a man named Cuthbert but nothing more sinister. He
thinks I'm a digger! He is here for a weekend away!?!
(paper at this stage is slightly torn with smeers of
mud, but reads:)
Prof Arnold Keifer - an archaeologist, who is the head of
the prehistoric department at the British Museum.
On the way back to the Professor's house we find some
raiders, most of them are shot and one is taken hostage. Another parchment is
also found. Hostage Raider quotes:
"The master will take you" and "We will destroy
you"
When we finally get back to the house, the hostage escapes
with a fight.
The Emily's and I precede to decipher the new parchment
before dinner. The raiders' master is known as the Crawling Chaos. They want
artefacts to perform a ritual to release their master into this world. (Should I
go into science fiction?)
We have details of the ritual and how to perform it, but
why would we want to? (Dinner was good)
Other people seem to be going out for the kill.
I am not certain this is the correct way to continue
proceedings, I am hear to get a story after all!
Alexander Griffin - another archaeologist, is sat at the
kitchen table, holding onto the translations of the ritual, he is examining
other information found within the 12th century tome.
9:15pm
George fixes my night light. I feel safer now but Jack and
Emily have retired to their room, both looking very uncomfortable, I am worried
if they are ok or not.
Meanwhile Alexander decrypts more papers from the tome.
Frederic - a farmer's hand, helping the cook, is from the
local village, Mary is his mother, she was widowed in the war.
Matthew - he is Frederic's brother, have been in the village
nearby all their lives. Recently their sheep have escaped and they have been
arguing with the neighbours.
